Patrick A. Stewart Biography
Cinematographer/Director/ Producer

Born and raised in Hollywood, CA and graduated of the University of Santa Clara. He began working as a Cinematographer in 1983, shooting in film as well as video. During the span of his career, Patrick was privileged to have worked with five Oscar-winning directors as a Director of Photography including Mike Figgis (Timecode, Hotel), Martin Scorsese (Red White and Blues), Peter Bogdonovich (Tom Petty’s Runnin’ Down a Dream) and Clint Eastwood (Dave Brubeck: In His Own Sweet Way, Johnny Mercer: The Dream’s One), and Michel Ghondry (Flight Of The Conchords.)

In 2012 Stewart produced, directed, and shot the feature length documentary “It’s Better To Jump” which has been screened in 45 film festivals world wide, and won 11 awards and nominations.

In addition to other television shows and pilots, he served as Director of Photography on all seven seasons of “The League” for FX, and on two seasons of HBO’s “Flight Of The Concords”. In 2017 Stewart shot the 9th season of HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” and the 5th season of the also highly acclaimed Fox/Netflix comedy, “Arrested Development.”

His company, Patrick Stewart Productions, has produced hundreds of projects including TV specials, commercials, documentaries and webcasts.
